Penetone in Namibia

Ordinary soap emulsifies light soil; Penetone is an industrial paste with fine abrasives and penetrating cleaners formulated for embedded workshop grease, oil and carbon — the black that soap just smears. It lifts the soil out of skin creases and around nails without resorting to washing hands in solvent or petrol, which is the habit it exists to replace (and the habit that causes industrial dermatitis).

Apply to dry hands first — water dilutes the cleaners before they reach the grease — work it through, then rinse fully; residue left behind dries skin. Once clean, don’t re-degrease unnecessarily: one proper wash beats three careless ones.
