Cool engine, covered electronics, targeted MPC application on the greasy zones, soft brush agitation, low-pressure controlled rinse — never a pressure lance into the loom, which is how degreasing becomes an electrical diagnosis. Follow with Solvene 33 on connectors that need residue-free attention, battery isolated, full evaporation before restart. The chemistry is mild about it; the water discipline is everything.

The two-layer routine at car scale: Peat D on every drip as it happens (an oil spot under a customer’s car reads as negligence even when it isn’t theirs), and Magnus 92 powder scrubs of the bays weekly. Service workshops live on trust built from visible order — the floor is the first exhibit. Powder, absorbent, and a Saturday scrub rotation is the entire programme.

Wet methods only, never compressed air: brake dust may contain material you do not want airborne, so a solvent wash (Solvene 33) applied to wet the dust, caught in a drip tray, wiped and disposed — mask on for heavy accumulations. Keep silicone products such as Silprolease far from friction surfaces before and after. The rule set is simple and old; the workshops that follow it are the ones that never learn why the hard way.
