Product use

PHOSKLEEN is a fast-acting phosphoric acid type compound for removing tarnish and corrosion from aluminium. Prepares aluminium, iron, steel, zinc and other metal for painting.

Directions for use

Immersion: Dilute P HOSKLEEN with 3 to 4 parts of water at room temperature. Immersion time should be from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the amount of rust and soil to be removed. The operation may be speeded up considerably by heating the tank. A maximum temperature of 50 °C elsius is recommended. Direct Application: P HOSKLEEN may be applied by brush or swab on parts too large for immersion. Dilute P HOSLEEN 1: 2 with water, contact time ± 20 minutes for light phosphate coating. Rinsing: All parts should be rinsed with clean water after de-rusting to remove the acid residues. They should be dried rapidly and protected immediately. Preparation of Iron, Steel, Zinc and Aluminium for Painting: Dilute one part of P HOSKLEEN with three parts of water. Apply this solution to the parts using a brush or swab and allow the solution a contact time of 3–5 minutes. Wipe with a clean cloth or, if the surface has dried, re-apply P HOSKLEEN solution and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Parts are now ready for painting without any further treatment.
