Product use
CCW 5 is a liquid blend of nitrite based corrosion inhibitors, designed primarily for use in closed cooling water systems. In addition, CCW 5 contains specific corrosion inhibitors for copper and copper alloys, a deposit control agent to prevent the precipitation of hardness and a colour indicator for the correct pH range. CCW 5 is compatible with both methyl alcohol and ethylene glycol-antifreeze. CCW 5 may be used in engine and compressor jackets, hot and chilled water systems. It may be used in multi-metallic systems. CCW 5 will not contribute to effluent problems.
Directions for use
Treatment level is determined by the particular system operating characteristics. N ormal dosage range is 15 30 ml CCW 5 per litre of coolant. The product has an inbuilt pH indicator which turns the water in the system pink. Should the water in the system turn colourless, it is an indication that either the pH in the system is too low or the product has become depleted. Ref. No. 0 1 / 2 4
