Sodium Hydroxide in solid form, also called Caustic Soda is an inorganic compound, belonging to the strongest alkali. It is used in the chemical manufacture, rayon and cellophane, neutralizing agent in petroleum refining; pulp and paper, aluminum, detergents, soap, textile processing, vegetable oil refining, reclaiming rubber, regenerating ion exchange resins, organic fusions, peeling of fruits and vegetables in the food industry, lad reagent, etching and electroplating, food additive.
