Product use

C HLORACID 90 is specially designed for safe, cold removal of corrosion products and mill scale by immersion. It can also be used for descaling of boilers, economisers, evaporators etc., and for the removal of cement and lime deposits from pipes, scaffolding, shuttering, moulds, etc.

Directions for use

Cold pickling: 1 - part C HLORACID 90: 1 part water to remove films and scale from iron, steel, and copper alloys. It will attack zinc, aluminium and other light metals and is corrosive to stainless steel. Tanks should be rubber-lined, P.V.C. coated or constructed of acid-resistant brick of supported polyethylene. Cement and lime deposits: 1 - part C HLORACID 90: 2 parts water. Boiler cleaning: For normal deposits of calcium carbonate, iron oxide and calcium phosphate, a 10 % solution of C HLORACID 90 is used and circulated. The boiler should not be left unattended during the descaling operation. The solution of C HLORACID 90 should not be left longer than 12 hours in the boiler, even C HLORACID 90 is inhibited. It is
